Happy Belated 4th!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful fun time over the weekend or on the 4th (whenever you celebrated) !! I had a fantastic party on the 4th, although there was a a bit of drama following it but that was ok because I still had a blast!!! We had tons of food (hamburgers,hot dogs, bbq chicken, corn on the cob, homemade pasta salad and 3 bean salad etc) and we watched movies outside in my backyard on the huge outdoor movie screen I have. I had tiki torches lighting up the path to my deck...it really looked cute and festive. I even made my very first poke cake. It didn't  turn out exactly how I wanted it. Well, it did, it just got left out longer than it was supposed to and the icing melted and made the top layer slide off the bottom layer, so it was kinda obviously uneven. Still tasted good though.


I also got a great deal on some new furniture for a "tiki bar room" I am trying to decorate in my house.I don't have the actual bar yet but am working on that, but at least now I have the rest of the room. lol I am going to the mountains tomorrow for the weekend, so if anyone is going to the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games, then you might see me there!:) I am so excited. I absolutely love the Highland Games and no one celebrates Scottish tradition quite like the GMHG. I especially love watching "Scottish wrestling". I find it so hot!! The men compete bare-chested and barefoot wearing a kilt.YUM!!! Oh boy that is soo sexy!!! Ok, I need to stop drooling and get my ass off of the computer because I have some errands to run before my big day tomorrow. I will tell you all about my adventures when I get back. I am also looking forward to this trip because I am going with a friend that I have known since the 7th grade, who I haven't seen but once or twice since I graduated high school in 1988. I found her again on Facebook and was shocked to find she had moved away to the same state as me!! What a coincidence!! I am a good 12 hour drive from my homestate, so to find anyone I knew in school this far away from home is quite exciting to me. My friend, Lisa lives about 4 hrs. from me now but that is a lot closer than 12 hrs. and this way we get to see each other a lot more. I took some pics on the 4th of July and thought I would share them with you....hope you like them. Let me know!!:) Have a great weekend!!

Back from the Beach

Had a wonderful time at the beach. Lost track of time and forgot to write about my trip...sorry.I will fill you in at another time. I am looking forward to my July 4th weekend plans. I am having some friends over and we are having a cookout on my back deck and then later on we are going to toast marshmallows over my firepit and make s'mores and even shoot some fireworks. I am really looking forward to after that when we will watch movies outside on my big screen that finally came in the mail today!! I have a dvd projector that allows me to project movies just about anywhere, inside or out. I CAN'T WAIT!!! I have so much left to do yet in order to get ready to have company , cooking and cleaning and getting the deck in order so I need to go get to it but I hope to write more next week but until then I leave you with another pic.....

Happy Monday

Sitting here with a massive headache but decided I should update my blog since I haven't updated it in a while. Have been a very busy gal since memorial day weekend where I went to a lake with some friends. It was so relaxing cooking out and just sitting beneath the trees, enjoying what little cool breezes we could. I had a good time. I really had wanted to work on my tan, but the heat was just unbearable, even in the shade. In the sun, I do not think I would have been a very happy camper. 


The weekend before this, I went on a dolphin cruise. It was lots of fun and we even saw several dolphins, not to mention tons of jellyfish and even a couple sting rays. It was a great weekend, even though I went home sunburned with a very bright red face!! I even dined at the famous Coleman's Restaurant. I know you probably never heard of it, but it was what started old time comedian Jimmy Durante saying his famous line,"Good night, Mrs. Calabash wherever you are." Rumor has it Jimmy and his pals dined here years ago and loved the food and Southern hospitality  and told the owner, Mrs. Coleman that he was going to make her famous. Locals still believe this according to the story on their menu. However, according to Wikipedia, Durante's wife loved the food in the restaurant and nicknamed her "Mrs. Calabash". (the town the restaurant is in, plus the area is famous for seafood cooked Calabash style...deep fried in a batter) After his wife died, he missed her greatly and in memory to her, at the closing of every show he would say "good night" to her (in code) so she would know he was thinking of her up in Heaven. Either story, I think is interesting. So we enjoyed dining at this restaurant overlooking the ocean.


I love the ocean, even though I do not care for swimming in it. I don't swim in lakes really either. I used to but as I got older the creepy factor took over. I don't like sharing my swimming space with other living creatures. If I want to swim with fish, I would jump in an aquarium!! lol Actually, I didn't mind the ocean in Florida,mostly because it was so pretty blue and warm. Unfortunately for me, I am not going to Florida anytime soon. :(


So that is what Ms. Chanel has been up to. Oh, I got my hair done this week. It looks really cool. I guess not many of you realize that my hair is dark because the majority of my pics show me with blonde hair of some sort. I changed my hair for simplicity last fall but I never was 100% on board with it. The hair stylist dyed it the wrong color to start. I requested dark golden blonde,my natural shade and she dyed it dark golden brown. Since then it has faded and you can see the natural gold in it more now but it is still way darker than I wanted it. I get a lot of compliments on my new dark color but I have always been more of a blonde, most of my life. So anyway, I had blonder streaks added to the front of my hair framing my face, as well as 2 hot pink/magenta streaks!! It looks awesome!! The only pic I have is crappy...the lighting is bad and it looks like I have big chunks of other colors in my hair, not too mention I have no make up on in that pic!! THAT alone makes me not want to post it!! lol I am serious though...I do not like me with no make up...you will see why. lol Anyway,so that is what I have been up to. As for future plans, I am going to the beach this upcoming weekend. Myrtle Beach,SC to be exact. I am so excited!! But I am so not looking forward to all the pre-vacation preparation that is involved, the packing, the lists (yes, I am one of those planning people that makes lists lol) the shopping, the laundry, the finding the stuff from last year that you haven't seen since last year....etc. I will be sure to take lots of pics and post some when I return. Here's hoping I get a nice tan and no sunburn, oh and also no rain while I am away!! lol

I always loved steak and pizza (still do). My mom and grandmother used to make me these thick omelettes with potatoes, more like a frittatta actually and they were so good!! I would always request them in a sandwich whenever I would be going on a field trip for school. (that and a yoo-hoo). Those were exciting lunch days!! My mom and grandma used to make this killer cabbage dish with tomatoes,almost like a soup. Fortunately, I figured out how to make that for myself!! So now I can have it anytime.

I LOVE getting packages in the Mail...

Well,last week, Thursday to be exact, I was on the edge of my seat awaiting a package in the mail.Normally, I get real excited when I am expecting a package in the mail but on this particular day, I was even more excited!!  I had seen some really cool make-up on some you tube videos and it intrigued me. So I checked out the website and found out this stuff was amazingly priced!! Not only that but they had oodles of different make-up selections. I literally could NOT make up my mind, so I ordered everything. (well, maybe not everything but I did order all the eye shadow kits available) Most people would think I wasted my money. ( I spent around $250) but for what I got I consider it a great deal. I love variety and with what I ordered, I certainly got it!! The colors are AWESOME!!! Not to mention a really awesome selection. They hit just about every color of the rainbow and then some. I have tons of blues, aquas, turquoise, green, spring green, pinks, corals, purples,oranges,reds (yes RED!!), even yellows,tans,beiges, golds, all sorts of neutrals,including white,gray and black. I have both matte and shimmer colors....altogether I got @976 eyeshadows, 61 lipglosses, a bunch of blushes( 26) and  10 concealers and a really nice make up brush kit with its own zippered case . I can't wait to use it!! I haven't dove into using it yet because I have been having a bit of an eye infection/allergy or something bothering me for a while. I didn't want to contaminate my new make-up, so I haven't touched it yet. Well, I have touched it but not used it. And believe me it is not very easy not to!! lol I am so much of a girly girl and I am a major make up lover and have been ever since I was a little girl!! Anything remotely girly, I love!! My eye is bothering me a lot less then it was. I even wonder if I just suffer from dry eyes because the eye drops I am using, which are an over the counter pink eye drop are all-natural organic, homeopathic and make my eyes feel better on contact. They are not watering or burning etc. anymore but they feel a little dry by the end of the day and then I end up using the drops. Today I only used the drops when I got up and I will use them again when I go to bed in a little while. So hopefully by this weekend, I will be able to use my new stuff. "Butterfly Babe" Latest Web Update

Since I am a little behind from being away, I thought I should update my website's latest set update. :Butterfly Babe" was my latest update for April. I am currently working on my May set. I really enjoyed the look of this set, with my gorgeous satin butterfly bustier with purple butterflies and lime green lace, and my purple hair and lime green satin blanket. It gave a fun, quirky impression of Spring. I even wore a butterfly bracelet and necklace. If you observe my sets, you will notice I am all about the details!!

Miss me???

After a lengthy absence, I am finally back...for good. I was hoping I would be back a lot sooner but I had some issues to deal with that delayed me. So here I am again!!! It is good to be back and honestly I missed being in touch with everyone. I was beginning to suffer from net withdrawal. lol 


While I was away, I was reunited with an old "girlfriend" of mine and when I say that I don't just meant she was a friend of mine (which she of course is) but we also were intimate with one another. We had a brief fling about 4 yrs. ago, before she moved away from the area. I really missed her when she was gone. We had even got tattooed together. (that's when I got my peacock feather tat) We are talking about going and getting another one together. I really want another tat. (only 3 so far) I want to get the Chinese symbol for "passion" on my arm. I also want 2 butterflies , not sure exactly how I want them but I want it to be a tribute tattoo for my deceased parents. If we do get them done, I am going to make sure that I get pics and a video to post. This summer I think I am definitely get some new ink done. Tattoos are like potato chips, very addicting!! lol


I am planning on hanging out with my friend again sometime soon. We always have so much fun together, no matter what we do. ;) Well, I know I haven't said much and have been away for a while but I am starving and haven't eaten all day, so I am going to take a peak in the kitchen and see what I have in my pantry. Sorry I have been MIA

Just wanted to take a few minutes to update my blog and let you know why I seemed to disappear a bit lately. I don't like to get all negative, but personally, I have been going through a very rough time in my life. A lot has been going on that I would rather not get into right now, but the worst of it all happened today. My "Uncle" Bruce died today at his group home. For the past few months, he has been suffering and in the final stages of Parkinson's Disease. A month ago, I had to go sign papers to allow Hospice to help take care of him as he was failing to thrive. Last week, I was informed that Bruce stopped eating. I knew the end wasn't far behind as that is what happened to my own father when he passed away in 2004. I received the call very early this morning that he had passed. I couldn't answer the phone. I saw who it was on the caller id and I just stayed in bed. It was almost as if I did not want to deal with it or hear the news. A few hours later came the call from the funeral home. I didn't answer that call either. Not too long after that, someone from the funeral home showed up at my house. I thought that was odd but the guy was very nice and decent towards me. I even got a call from the social worker at Hospice to offer her condolences. That was very nice of her. I appreciated her reaching out to me. I have so many mixed feelings about my Uncle's death. I am glad he is no longer suffering but yet I hate to see him go. I would prefer not to dwell on this sad subject right now but I hope to be blogging away again soon, so please stay tuned!!

Do you smoke?

No, I do not smoke but on request I will do "smoking fetish" photo sets or videos. When I was in my early 20's, I smoked on occasion when I was at bars drinking. I never really made smoking a habit. Personally, I cannot stand the smell of smoke all over everything.

R.I.P. Jane Russell

I was saddened to learn of the passing of an old Hollywood sex-symbol from the 40's & 50's  today, Ms. Jane Russell. I absolutely loved her in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" , opposite Marilyn Monroe. She was classy, sexy, elegant, smart, sassy and oh so funny in that film, which is one of my all-time favorites. She had a figure to die for and she had style. As she got older, she became the spokeswoman for Playtex bras for "full-figured gals". I still remember those commercials from my childhood.  She was one of several women that I love to emulate their look. She was most definitely a pin-up and just oozed sex-appeal. In fact, there was much controversy surrounding her busom in her first film, "The Outlaw". Howard Hughes even specially designed and built a bra for her to please the censors. It was the first ever underwire bra of its kind. Hughes help up the film by defying the censorship codes at the time. By showcasing Jane's breasts in the film and on the movie poster, the movie became quite controversial. Hughes felt that the camera didn't do justice to her ample bosom , so that is why he built her the special bra. (which she claims she never wore)


Jane Russell died of respiratory-related illness at her home at age 89. She definitely lived a very full life and indeed will be missed by many including this "full-figured gal".

What language would you like to learn how to speak?

I would love to learn to speak Italian, as it is my heritage. I love learning new languages. I know a bit of Spanish,German and Latin and I took many years of French study as well as visiting France, so I am a little bit better with French. On a whim, I once decided to learn Russian and bought some books and started to learn it and write it...now that was difficult!!

What's the last good book you read?

I am not finished with it yet, but Stephanie Meyer's,"Breaking Dawn", the last of the Twilight series. I read about 400 or so pages but it just got boring to me, so I put it on hold. The whole series was terrific though and I could not put down!!

Anyway, I decided b/w was the way to go for a vintage vixen look and my many strands of pearls 
complemented my satin and lace lingerie perfectly. The satin clung to all my curves and rolls, but 
felt so good against my soft skin.I really felt sensual as I removed my lingerie and was left 
wearing nothing but my pearls and as you can tell by one of the photos, I got a little creative 
with my pearls!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Just wanted to take the opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope you all get to have some fun with a special someone today/tonight. I was taken out to dinner by my Valentine on Friday night. We went to a great little Italian place and had soup, salad and wonderful ooey,gooey white pizza!! I LOVE cheesy pizza!! Believe it or not, we had leftovers and I had the last of them today for lunch. So goood!! What was the worst concert you went to?

I went to see Def Leppard,Styx and Foreigner and it wasn't the bands that made it bad it was the weather. We had a micro-burst and it was an outdoor concert and we got pelted with hail and the wind kicked up and they had to cancel the concert. People were screaming and hiding under their seats...I was scared for my life too!!

I'm so Excited & I just can't hide it...

I am as happy as a clam, however happy that is. I have been squealing over this since last night!! As the title of my blog suggests, I am VERY excited, thrilled to death, overjoyed over some uber terrific news I received.Let me give you a bit of a back story. I am not so sure how long ago it was that I was introduced to the art of a very talented, sweetheart of a guy named Ricky Daniels. I was on a bbw forum, chubby parade I believe, when I first discovered his work. The sketches were of BBW pin-ups and other bbws dressed very burlesque in style. Even though, they were rough sketches they were wonderful. I was so impressed with this man's talent and passion. His passion for BBW really shines thru in his work. I thought he had quite a similar style to Les Toil, who I am a big fan of his artwork as well. Anyway, I commented on how I really liked what I saw on his posts in that forum. Many months later, he had posted more pics on another BBW forum,fat-forums, this time. I recognized his work almost immediately.I noticed on one of his posts that he had his own blog, so I decided to check it out and I was not one bit disappointed. I was in awe. I enjoyed looking at his variety of artwork and began following his blog.

You will definitely want to check out his blog. It is well worth it if you are an art lover or BBW lover. So anyway, fast forward a bit and we come to the part I am literally giddy over. Ricky Daniel's Big Girls Sketch Blog recently celebrated it's first anniversary and Mr. Daniels himself decided he wanted to change his blog logo for 2011.He was looking for a model to be his BBW pin-up girl in his logo. And just guess who was chosen??! (points at self lol) ME!!!! Well, technically it is just a drawing of me, but still you get what I am saying. I can't tell you what a thrill and honor it is to be drawn by this man. He emailed me the sketch and I was just speechless. He says he thinks it might be one of his best works yet.WOW! He was happy that I liked the sketch but the man has no idea!! I am ecstatic. He made my day/week/month!! I feel so silly like a school girl babbling on and on but I feel so privileged for my likeness to be drawn and especially by an artist that I like and respect so much. It is a rush to be immortalized in pencil. (or whatever medium he uses) I wonder if Mona Lisa felt this way when Leonardo told her he wanted to paint her. lol

What's the oldest piece of clothing you still own and wear?

Hmmm...that is a good question...I have some shirts that are 7 yrs. old. A lot of my clothes that I wear daily are at least 4 yrs. old. I do have a few old concert shirts that I wear that are from 1995 and 2000. Most stuff that old doesn't fit me any longer. I have so many clothes that it is hard to keep up. I may have something 5 yrs. but it looks brand new because I might have only worn it once or twice. I own lots of items like that and yet I still feel I have nothing to wear and want new clothes!!

Presenting 2011 BBW Calendar Girl, Chanel L'Amour...

It is now official. The votes are all in and have been tallied. The 12 Calendar Girls of the 2011 BBW Calendar  have been picked and yours truly, Chanel L'Amour is now one of them!!! :D I am so thrilled you would not believe!! A huge THANKS to everyone who took the time out of their busy lives to vote for me. I appreciate your support more than you know!! This is a wonderful experience and I am so excited about it!! Even though, I didn't receive the most votes, or win the $50 cash prize, I was overjoyed to have people like me enough to even vote for me at all. Besides, the true prize to me is actually having the wonderful opportunity to be in a calendar  and earn the title, "calendar girl". To be able to put "calendar girl" on my resume of BBW accomplishments is like a dream come true to me. 

One of my idols, Marilyn Monroe got her start that way, gracing her very own calendar in 1955, I believe. At the time, it was quite scandalous because she was nude. But it didn't seem to matter in the future, because soon Marilyn Monroe became a household name. Because of the risqué nature of the calendar, there have been several PG versions floating around, with added lingerie or fabric covering her private areas but make no doubt about it, she was very naked in those calendar shots. At the moment, I am not sure what I will be appearing in or what month I will be appearing in it.


I would like to take this opportunity to urge all of you that voted for me, or is a fan of BBW's in general, to purchase one of these calendars. I have provided the purchase link for you to do so. I am willing to autograph or kiss anyone's calendar that is interested. However, I am still trying to figure out the best way to do that. If you have an idea, please let me know. I am open to suggestions. :)

Tired of the Winter...Ready for Spring

Well, we got pummeled with snow and ice again this week. Most businesses were closed for 2 1/2-3 days!! The South may not get hit with severe winter weather very often but they need to be prepared for it. We got hit twice in a short span of only 2 weeks!!! This is really unusual, but life happens sometimes and that's when we seem to need to be prepared the most. Snow shovel are almost unheard of around here. Since we don't get a lot of snow and when we do it usually melts within a day or so, so I was actually starting to miss it in December. I was welcoming the snow with open arms. 


I think maybe within the last 3 years (other then recently) we had snow maybe 2 times total and it was gone within 3 days or so. (most likely less than 2) And being from NJ, I was used to the snow and cold and come Christmas time every year would find myself missing it. Well, this year my Xmas wish came true but it was a day late!! Dec. 26th we got 3-5", which granted isn't a lot but for NC, that is practically a blizzard!! Now last Monday morning we got hit with another 3-5" plus a thick helping of ice on top of it. Plus, I live in a house that is over 40 years old and needs new windows, so it tends to be drafty when the temperature drops and it has been in the teens at night and mostly in the mid 30's-40's in the day. By nature,  I am cold-natured, so I have been wearing thick sweat jackets/hoodies over sweaters. Never have I felt so damn chilly in this house. Just one of the reasons I LOVE snuggling and cuddling in the winter time, especially if you are a human furnace and radiate heat. I will cling to you like white on rice!!! lol 


So I have decided, I am OVER winter now. I had my thrill with the beautiful scenery that having a winter wonderland provides, but the hell with that I am freezing my ass off and that is a whole lotta ass to freeze!! lol So I am officially saying to Jack Frost, "Enough Already!!" He needs to take his icy butt down to Florida and work on his tan. I bet he is pale as a mother fucker! Once he thaws out and gets his "Coppertone" on and soaks up the rays by the pool, I am sure he might want to reconsider all this snow, ice and cold crap that he has been bombarding us with. Anyway, so stick a fork in me, I am done. :)
